In 2010, JWC decided to
enter
into a new service project. Our
members made over 1,200 wooden Tic-Tac-Toe and Tricky Triangle games to
be sent to our troops overseas.
We were fortunate to benefit from donations from the public of golf tees to be used as pegs in both games, and blue velvet bags to hold the games instead of plain boxes. Quilted hand made bags to hold the games were also made by Joanne Herman, one of our members.
A local chapter of the USO stood up and offered to ship these games to
our troops at no cost to the club.
Below are some pictures of the final products and of our members working on them to "Support Our Troops"!
